New Method of Tea Packaging

New Method of Tea Packaging

As a natural health drink, it has become increasingly popular in the international market in recent years. Packaging, as one of the important means of competition and promotion has also been improved and updated to some extent. In the past, both famous tea and ordinary tea were mostly packed in bags and iron boxes. Now, major tea exporting countries (especially famous tea exporting countries) and consuming countries have successively introduced new tea packaging such as wooden boxes and ceramic pots.

Most of these new packages are simple and natural, which can make people feel friendly and nostalgic, and bring out the best in tea, a natural beverage. Therefore, despite the high cost of these packages, many companies are willing to adopt them. Some budding small companies hope to increase their popularity in order to gain a place in the market, while other famous tea companies with strong financial resources use them to open up new markets. It should be pointed out that some countries have used new tea packaging, which has not accounted for a large proportion in the whole tea packaging up to now, and is only used in the main high-quality tea packaging, such as Darjeeling tea in India, specialty tea and delicious tea processed and sold in the United States and Western European countries and so on.

Wooden box packaging is commonly used in the above-mentioned new packaging, but the main disadvantage of wooden box is poor sealing effect, which is not conducive to long-term preservation of tea. For this reason, some companies use cardboard boxes instead of wooden boxes in order to reduce costs; another kind of newly packaged ceramic tea pot, which has both pottery and porcelain, is exquisitely made and colorful. However, because ceramic cans are easily broken, wooden boxes or paper boxes are often added to their surface, resulting in higher packaging costs.

In order to make up for and overcome the shortcomings of wooden boxes and ceramic cans, some tea companies are trying to find solutions. For example, tin foil is used on the inner packaging of wooden boxes to ensure sealing as much as possible; pollution-free degradable plastics are coated on the packaging of ceramic pots, which not only ensures the appearance, but also avoids the influence of external illumination, temperature and humidity on the color, aroma and taste of tea leaves. However, in the long run, it is still necessary to make continuous efforts to develop universal and practical new tea packaging.
