Stewed Beef Brisket

Ingredients
1 kg of sirloin
1 tbsp of olive oil
3 onions
1 glove of garlic
1 tbsp of tomato paste
1 tbsp of diced mustard
500 ml of pilsner beer
200 ml of beef stock
5 bay leaves
1 tbsp of honey
1 tbsp of cornstarch
1 tbsp of water
An appropriate amount of salt
An appropriate amount of pepper
Some roasted vegetables

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 160°C. Season the beef with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a large pan with great thickness and lightly fry the beef on all sides. Peel onion and garlic.
 
Step 2
Remove the beef from the pan and sauté the onion and garlic with the remaining oil. Pour the tomato paste and diced mustard and stir fry slightly. Pour beer and stock. Add the bay leaf and honey and simmer for 2 minutes.
 
Step 3
Put the milk in the pot and cover it. Put the whole pot in the oven and bake at a temperature of 160 for 2.5 hours. Remove the cover and continue to bake for another 30 minutes. Remove the beef from the pan; wrap it with aluminum foil, and rest for 15 minutes.
 
Step 4
Meanwhile, filter the broth and put it in a saucepan. Mix starch and water to make a thickening sauce. Pour it into the broth. Cook over medium heat until the gravy has reduced to the desired thickness. Slice the beef. Add gravy, and serve with roasted vegetables. Enjoy yourself.
